    Thanks for posting this, Kay! My great-grandfather would be happy to hear this news. :)

    G. Oliver Riggs directed the Crookston city band from 1898-1909 and returned to Crookston in 1914 to direct an adult band and the Crookston Juvenile Band until he moved to Bemidji in 1919.

    Perhaps my dad and I will make a return visit to Crookston to hear a concert.
